3 Students Of SDN Kalijambe Sragen Become Victims Of Collapsed Ceiling

SRAGEN - A number of students from an elementary school (SD) in Sragen Regency, Central Java, who were active in the class were hit by a collapsed ceiling.

Head of the Sragen Regency Education and Culture Office, Prihantomo, said the collapsed ceiling occurred at SDN Kalijambe.

The collapse of the roof occurred ahead of teaching and learning activities. The incident happened to three V-class students with the names Fahra, Niswa, and Selvi.

According to him, for students with Fahra's name experiencing pain in their hands, Niswa has a pain in the leg and Selvi complains of dizziness.

"These three students were rushed to the local health center. There was one whose hands were still sick, then taken to Sragen Hospital, while the other two students returned to school," he said in Sragen, Antara, Wednesday, November 20.

He said the incident only occurred in the classroom V. He said it was possible that many trees would be damped ceilings.

"All the ceilings in class V have been removed. Classes have been reused," he said.

Meanwhile, in other classes it is still safe. Therefore, teaching and learning activities continue normally.

"The roof in other classes is still strong, there is no black ceiling. So, the children have started learning again," he said.
