Google Authenticator 7.0 Changes How To Copy 2FA Codes With New Features And View Updates

JAKARTA - Google Authenticator version 7.0 comes with a Material You redesign as well as new features that bring changes to the way users copy two-factor authentication (2FA) codes or also known as 2-Step Verification (2SV) in the Google ecosystem.

Previously, users had to long press on the six-digit code listed on the account list to copy to the clipboard. However, in last week's latest update, users simply tap on the code to copy it.

But some users may still find that the old press function sometimes works in version 7.0, but the priority behavior is with one tap. This new method is designed simpler, although it may require a little adjustment for some users.

Other changes are also seen in the edit and delete settings. In the previous version, users pressed long to access the action in the upper right corner, including to rearrange the list.

Now, users just need to shift to the right to change the name (previously known as the "account") and to the left to delete. In addition, the resummation of items can be done simply by pulling and releasing.

This version 7.0 update is widely available on the Play Store and introduces Material 3 elements, including dynamic color (Dynamic Color), account search feature, and privacy screen (Privacy Screen).
