Members Of Parliament Ask Iran To Change Its Nuclear Policy, Have The Same Weapons As The US And Israel
JAKARTA - Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian stressed the need for changes in the country's nuclear policy to ensure the prevention of enemies, saying Tehran must be equipped with weapons owned by the United States and Israel.
Speaking at an open parliamentary hearing on Monday, the Tehran lawmaker said Iranian enemies needed to be aware that state security was our "red line".
"The Iranian nation will use any weapon that creates deterrence against its enemies," he said, referring to the United States and the Zionist regime.
"The holy code has ordered us to increase our strength as much as possible to scare our enemy with that power and weapon to create prevention," he said.
Based on that, he continued, adapting Iran's nuclear policy in this extraordinary situation is a "clear necessity".
"The Iranian nation must be equipped with all weapons it has its terrorist enemies, America and Israel," he said.
However, Nabavian went further, saying, according to a holy book order, Iran must acquire more sophisticated weapons than its enemies to prevent them from attacking its country.
The statement comes amid rising tensions between Iran and regional resistance groups on the one hand and the Israeli and US regimes on the other.
