Different Results Of The Central Java Gubernatorial Election Survey, Quiet Urged To Expose Complete SMRC Data And Indicators
JAKARTA - The difference in the results of the Central Java Governor Election (Pilgub) survey conducted by Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) and Indonesian Political Indicators (IPI) is in the spotlight. In the two surveys, Andika Perkasa and Ahmad Lutfi's electability levels were boomed.
Political expert Prof. Dr. Asrinaldi, S.Sos, M.Si, urged the Indonesian Public Opinion Survey Association (Persepi) to take fair action and immediately conduct an in-depth examination. The push to expose the survey results of the two institutions.
According to Asrinaldi, if the fact is true that the results are too far away, of course this should be a concern for Persepi.
"If there is a fact that the results are very different. Of course this will be Persepi's attention. Ideally, of course there must be an examination of this difference," said Asrinaldi, Monday, November 18.
Asrinaldi then highlighted the incident between Poltracking and the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI). In responding to the very distant differences as a result of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada survey, Poltracking was given a sanction.
The difference occurred in the results of the 2024 Central Java Pilkada survey conducted in the same period by IPI and SMRC.
In the November 7-13 survey, the electoral acquired pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor of Central Java number 2 Ahmad Lutfi-Taj Yasin won with 47.19 percent, defeating pair number 1 Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi 43.46 percent.
While the SRMC survey in the period 7-12 November, Andika-Hendrar's electability was 50.4 percent above Lutfi-Taj Yasin at 47.0 percent.

Asrinaldi assessed that the difference in survey results between the two institutions reached 9 percent for Andika-Hendrar's electability.
He also recommended that Persepi dissect the differences in data that occurred in Central Java. If the examination is held, he said, then one thing that must be obeyed by Saiful Mujani is not allowed to follow or even worry about making decisions.
According to Asrinaldi, if Saiful Mujani participates, it will only strengthen indications of conflicts of interest. Making the public increasingly distrust the performance of Persepi as a guardian of the survey institute.
Even worse, he continued, the case of different surveys in Central Java is a strong indication of the practice of selective logging against members of associations. That Persepi has indeed targeted Poltracking Indonesia as a member who is indirectly forced to resign.
"This means that the members of the ethics board who are being examined are not involved in the examination if there are indications in that direction," said Asrinaldi.
