Prone To Land Grabbing, DPRD Asks DKI Provincial Government To Pagari Regional Assets

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Dimaz Raditya, asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to be stricter in securing regional assets in each DKI regional work unit (SKPD), especially assets that are not or have not been used.

Dimas said that asset security was not enough to only give a nameplate. Given that the seizure of land by irresponsible parties is still prone to occur, he suggested that the assets be installed with fences around them.

"It must be fenced, given a sign, so that people know that this asset belongs to DKI. Sometimes they have been given a sign, they like to disappear because they are revoked," said Dimaz at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, quoted Monday, November 18.

Dimaz reminded the DKI Provincial Government that weak asset security could harm the government. If land grabbing occurs, the DKI Provincial Government will deal with land disputes.

These asset owners should be able to be more aware of the assets they have. Don't let the person in charge be occupied," said Dimaz.

On the one hand, Dimaz urged that SKPD's unused assets be given to the Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD). The goal is that the assets can be used or cooperated with outsiders to increase local revenue (PAD).

"Instead of unused assets in the service, it is better to give authority to BPAD to find partners. So it is useful," he explained.

For the record, several SKPDs that have assets, especially in the form of land with large value, include the Highways Office Rp365.5 trillion, the Water Resources Service Rp64.5 trillion, the City Parks and Forest Service Rp45.1 trillion, and other SKPDs Rp63.7 trillion.

Then, assets in the form of buildings and buildings owned by the Education Office amounted to IDR 13.7 trillion, the City Parks and Forest Service IDR 1.3 trillion, the Highways Office IDR 697.8 billion, and other SKPD IDR 34.9 trillion.
