Stabbing Action In Jiangsu Province, China Kills Eight People

JAKARTA - The stabbing took place at a vocational school in eastern China's Jiangsu Province, on weekends that killed eight people and injured 17 others, according to police reports.

The action took place at the Wuxi Institute of Art and Vocational Technology in Yixing City on Saturday (16/11) night, police said.

The suspect, a 21-year-old man who is only known as Xu, took the action because he was furious because he failed to pass the exam and was disappointed with the compensation of the internship, according to the local police.

The suspect, the perpetrator, has now been detained by the police.

A number of stabbings using knives took place in China this year, including when a 44-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 10-year-old Japanese student in Shenzhen, China in September.

A similar action also took place in northeastern China in June. At that time, four US college instructors and a local tourist were injured.
