In Front Of The Minister Of Public Works, Erick Guarantees That The BUMN Karya Merger Will Not Disturb The Assignment

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed the latest news about the consolidation or merger of BUMN Karya. Erick ensured that the consolidation would not interfere with the implementation of assignments from the state to state-owned companies in the construction sector.

Erick also said that later seven BUMN Karya would be consolidated into three mothers. According to Erick, this consolidation is part of the recruitment for future acceleration.

Furthermore, Erick revealed that the consolidation of BUMN Karya had been discussed together with the Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo.

"Earlier, we talked about explaining that the seven SOEs will later be covered by three parents, so we will only restructure this part, it will not interfere with assignments and acceleration," said Erick at the Ministry of SOEs Office, Jakarta, Friday, November 15.

As for the plan, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk will enter PT Hutama Karya (Persero). Then, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk with Brantas Abhipraya and Nindya Karya. Third, combining PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) or PTPP with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.

Erick again emphasized that state assignments will not be disrupted in the future by consolidating the BUMN Karya. The merger is also considered to be able to strengthen the expertise of each BUMN Karya.

"In fact, what we ensure is that this needs acceleration, so it's not an issue that will become a future issue, so God willing, we will implement it later," he said.

Erick said the merger or merger could be carried out following the restructuring process carried out by the Ministry of SOEs.

"God willing, we will run, especially yesterday we also restructured, yesterday Mr. Tiko (Wamen BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo) and our team worked hard to make sure this BUMN Karya was healthy," he said.

On that occasion, Erick also ensured that BUMN Karya could work professionally. He said a number of legal cases had also been dealt with firmly.

"We make sure that there are many efficiency and many people who committed violations yesterday in collaboration with the Prosecutor's Office, of course, apologize, detained because of cases," he said.
