Coming To Indonesia, Jensen Huang Unloads The Key To NVIDIA's Success

JAKARTA NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was present at the AI Day, one of the major technology events held in Indonesia this year. At the event, Huang exposed the success of his company.

As a leading multinational technology company, NVIDIA managed to achieve success not because it 'races' beyond a number of its competitors, such as AMD, Intel, and TSMC. According to Huang, NVIDIA actually succeeded because they dared to take the challenge.

"The reason is because in almost everything we do, there is no competition," Huang said on November 14, quoted by CNN. "We chose a very difficult problem to do, which has never been done before."

Huang added that his company has always been brave in taking risks. His courage brought benefits because his competitors tended to step down or not take difficult challenges. Therefore, NVIDIA can be one step ahead.

"They (other companies) like to do things that are possible and I like to do things that are almost impossible. Most likely impossible," Huang said.

When he first stood up and was still a small company, NVIDIA was often doubtful and its main product was considered impossible. However, Huang said that NVIDIA did not stop innovating and continued to create new things.

Some of their products that have ever been doubted are the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) and deep learning. After several years of pursuing its products, NVIDIA was able to get rid of the stigma, although many still doubt their technology to date.

Whatever the other side's view, Huang said that confidence must be owned by companies or individuals because this trait is the key to success. Without confidence, no one will be able to progress and develop.

"The most important thing is you believe. If you believe, believe that it is possible and decide to dedicate your life to doing so, who will stop you other than yourself?" Jensen's advice to the audience.
