JAKARTA - A young designer went viral after making a unique jeans design, which is decorated with a doll. The jeans creation started with a fad idea, which has now gone viral and is used by artists.

The designer who made it was Chad Nazam, a young man from Virginia, United States. Chad decorates jeans with 200 fur dolls, which are pasted by hand.

The process of sewing the dolls was carried out by Chad and his team, including his own 79-year-old grandmother. After being sewn in 200 dolls, the jeans weigh about 2.2 kg.

Chad Nazam said the making of jeans decorated with hundreds of dolls started as a fad and the boredom with most of the fashion world products. He admits that he wants to create jeans, which most of them have the same appearance, into something different.

"In the world of fashion, there are a lot of boring things. I can do what I want and be an influential person in this industry," said Chad Nazam as quoted by the New York Times, on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Since its launch, jeans decorated with dolls have been in demand by many people. Chad Nazam said hundreds of jeans with dolls had been sold since its launch in April.
