KTB Expect Incentives For Electric Trucks Equivalent To Electric Cars

JAKARTA - PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Indonesia, became the first company to sell electric trucks in the country, namely eCanter.

Regarding the incentives for electric trucks, PT KTB through the Director of Sales & Marketing Division Aji Jaya, hopes to be presented equally in the electric vehicle (BEV) electric car that has been implemented in Indonesia.

"If the support from the government actually has zero percent Refund Duty (BBNKB), but for other cases, of course, it needs a process, and we are pushing it," said Aji, when met in the Tangerang area, some time ago.

This is different from electric cars that get additional incentives, such as a Value Added Tax (VAT) discount of 1 percent of the normal rate of 11 percent. In addition, the government also provides other benefits for electric car buyers, namely exemption from the progressive tax of motorized vehicles.

The manufacturer bearing the three diamonds is proposing and communicating with related parties for this electric truck incentive, and one that can be done is local production.

"It can be produced locally, maybe there are many references," he added.

Previously, the Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita had also provided a slight leak regarding the incentives for this electric truck. He said the roadmap for battery commercial vehicles already exists.

"We'll wait for the playing date. But, I have to say that we will discuss factories and electric trucks. We'll talk about it later. The roadmap already exists (hydrogen and ethanol), it will be published later," said Agus some time ago.
