Eksklusif Tiket, Menjadi Wadah Bersama Untuk Terus Berkarya

JAKARTA - It has been two years since Tickets returned to being active in the country's music industry, with the formation of Aqi Singgih (vocals), Arden Wiebowo (guitar), Opet Alatas (bass), and Brian Kresno Putro (drums).

The four names above (increased by Teguh Diswanto), were the initial personnel of Tiket when making their debut through the self-titled album in 2001. Then, the same formation still released the album A Anugerah in 2003.

After producing two albums, Tickets changed formation, Arden and Opet were still in the band, while Aqi joined Alexa and Brian joined Sheila On 7.

Ticket activity with the latest formation began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting from the four musicians who asked each other about each other's news, gathered at Brian's house after the pandemic subsided, ventured into the studio, and the idea came back to life Tickets.

"At Brian's house, it happened that there was a studio, playing games, it turned out that it still felt the same as before, finally we recorded (the song) 'Only you can', because it was the song that broke the most from the ticket. At that time Opet and Ardan were still guarding the goal Tickets, while Brian and I didn't exist. That's really fun, "said Aqi Singgih when his ticket visited the VOI office in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta recently.

The new version Only You Can' was released on November 25, 2022. They also re-recorded two old songs, A worship' and 'Let Love Unite Us'.

Kita remake lagu-lagu lama, beberapa. Setelah itu kita berpikir 'Binkin lagu baru lah, masa ya sudah nggak bisa membuat lagu baru.' Akhirnya ya (lagu baru) keluar gitu saja, memberi ide, eh jadi banyak lagunya. Ya alhamdulillah, rekam saja, kata Aqi.

Ticket Reactivity can be said to go in a more serious direction, two new songs have been released, namely 'Senjana' on November 24, 2023 and 'GAK MAU' on August 21, 2024. Both are made different from one another.

Brian said that the approach made by Tiket in working on songs today is different from when they worked on an album in the early 2000s. At that time, from one to another, it was seen as one unit.

"We have an album era, the album production is a very long production and requires a lot of concepts, so that the album can become one unit, from one song to another, think about the relationship," said Brian.

"In the past, producers and labels were also guarded, there must be a formula, if one was like this, the next one would be made like this (similar). Now maybe because we have extraordinary freedom, the position can now be released on our own, we can produce it ourselves, I think we can explore something," he continued.

In addition, Opet, known as the initial personnel who formed the Tiket, said that the personnel are currently also trying to work on the song arrangement in a more ideal portion.

"With our own music experiences so far, we are processing what we will do in these materials. (We) try not to make it complicated, it's ideal in our opinion," said Opet.

"Ideal in our opinion is like that, it doesn't make it complicated, it doesn't make it difficult. Yes, we hope that what we are working on is ideal for those who hear it," he added.

More ideal tickets

What the bassist said was the key to seeing Tickets at this time. The four Tickets who debuted in 2001 were no longer the same person when they decided to reunite two years ago.

Arden said that each personnel had gone through a different journey, so the two songs presented were their efforts to continue to revive Tickets.

"The one who makes the difference and makes us more enthusiastic when we come back is like each one brings a new reference and a new taste from their respective places," said Arden.

"Over time, we felt nostalgic because we could get together again, but we don't want to be a non-stalgic band, we still have to have a work. Because as musicians, we must remain productive, as well as the regeneration of ticket listeners as well."

Growing up in the 1990s became more points felt by each personnel. With the reference to music at that time which was very diverse, adapting to new listeners from today's young people became not difficult.

"Our luck was great in the 90s, in that era, we were very rich in the music genre. That's why when we adapt to the era, which was just playing around, it didn't matter, because actually at that time we had listened to many types of songs," said Arden.

"Actually, this is our hearing, and the four of us agreed to make a second album, so we made something that we thought was easy," said Aqi.

With what Tickets have done in the last two years, the important question to answer is: where will this ticket go and how long will this formation run?

Aqi admitted that the question arose in his head when he was walking with the current ticket. He was actually curious about what would be done with the other three personnel.

"I also questioned that, where exactly did this want to be taken, and personally it was more curious, where did it end up," said the vocalist.

"If I talked to Brian earlier, we tried how to introduce our music outside of music. It would be nice if our music could communicate without us having to make music," he continued.

Like a Beatles, on the fourth album, you have stopped performing, the money comes in, it's just a matter of recording until it disbands. There, they can introduce their music without music. And that seems like the dream of all musicians."

Opet and Arden, who have never left tickets, believe this new journey is more fluid.

"If I was private, we would just flow like that. As long as there is energy, it will definitely keep going, because the hope is that as long as we can still make music, just run it," said Opet.

"We can't be too naive, sometimes the reality doesn't always go according to expectations, I personally don't like grandiose things. But I have faith that for 20 years we can get through, there should be 20 years again," said Arden.

"That's why back again, if I get too excited, I think I'm just being naive, we'll see later, what is clear is that we personally don't want to die."

Trying to summarize what the three personnel above said, Brian believes Tickets are the right place to work together for himself, Aqi, Arden and Opet.

"If I believe in a good work, I will definitely have a place in the hearts of the listeners. Right now I am quite grateful to have a ticket as a forum for work, no matter what the results are," said Brian.

"Only a little has been answered from my question, yesterday we had time to transfer files from the handycam when the Tiket was performing was tired. When watching it and flashbacks, it was a little answered that we had passed that time. And of course after that we want it to be more ideal with the current conditions and ages. Yes, it's not grandiose, we may not want to be that smart, but even if later friends are happy with the song Tickets, yes, we will fight to be able to meet friends," he concluded.
