Waskita Beton Precast Supports Coastal Security Projects In Jakarta Bay
JAKARTA - Erosi beach and tidal flooding due to tides are one of the environmental problems faced by DKI Jakarta. PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) shows its contribution in supporting the development of coastal protection infrastructure in the Jakarta area through product supply for coastal safety projects in Jakarta Bay.
The total supply of WSBP in the coastal safety project in Jakarta Bay reached 710 Concrete Sheet Pile (CCSP) stems and 1,437 Spun Pile rods.
In the 6 packet 3 phase beach safety project owned by Wika-HK KSO, WSBP supplied 710 CCSP stems and 431 pile stems according to the need to ensure the optimal security and function of the coastal safety building.
As for 2023, WSBP has also been trusted to supply 1,006 pile stems for the coastal safety project in Jakarta Bay Phase 6 Package 3 at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) which is a project owned by Adhi-Minarta KSO.
"As a company that consistently supports infrastructure development in Indonesia, we are proud to be able to contribute to the important national strategic project (PSN) to protect the coastal area of Jakarta from various damages due to the influence of tides and ocean currents," said WSBP Corporate Secretary Division Head Fandy Dewanto as quoted from the official website of WSBP, Thursday, November 14.
CCSP is a wavy-shaped WSBP precast concrete product designed in an array to be used as a safeguard wall for abrasion and erosion of sea water movement.
With high resistance to sea water pressure and long-lasting, CCSP is suitable for application in areas that require sustainable structural protection. Mainly in residential areas when sea water is high due to land subsidence and sea level rise.
Fandy explained that CCSP is effectively used as a retaining wall to prevent landslides or ground movement. Its corrugated shape increases structural strength and stability when holding pressure from soil masses. The CCSP WSBP has gone through a strict quality control process. Thus, the quality of the supplied products is guaranteed and ready to be installed with high precision.
It is known, the use of piles in coastal safety projects is a special thing to do. If you pay attention to the coastal safety project, it generally uses CCSP. This is because the PIK coastal safety embankment requires a fairly large crack moment. Thus, it takes the use of the CT Joint pile to fulfill the required moments and fulfill the embankment function.
"We supply piles to this project in accordance with its nature that is resistant to the load of attraction and pressure, making it ideal to strengthen construction in vulnerable coastal areas. In addition, WSBP always implements health and work safety procedures (K3) in each production line. So, the project runs safely and according to high quality standards," he said.

From the coastal safety project Phase 6 packages 3 and 4 in Jakarta Bay, WSBP obtained a contract value of up to Rp125.14 billion. Of this figure, Rp97.47 billion came from packages 3 and Rp27.67 billion from packages 4.
The coastal safety building in Jakarta Bay is expected to protect the coast from abrasion risk and increase the attractiveness of coastal areas. In addition to being an environmental mitigation solution, this project has the potential to create new recreation areas for the surrounding community.
With the spirit and commitment to continue to innovate, Fandy assessed, WSBP is ready to strengthen its position as a leading precast producer in Indonesia, which is not only competitive in terms of quality, but also cost efficiency in meeting national infrastructure needs.
"Of course, in every process, WSBP applies good corporate governance and risk management," he concluded.
