ATR: The Settlement Land For Lewotobi Disaster Victims Has Been Approved By The Customary Tribe

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid revealed that the land for the settlement of victims of the Mount Lewotobi Laki eruption disaster in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is customary land and has been approved by customary tribes.

"It's customary land, it has customs and its indigenous tribes have agreed," said Nusron in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, November 14.

The task of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, he continued, is to prepare land and ensure that the land for the settlement of victims of the Mount Lewotobi eruption disaster has a clean and clear status.

"Our job is only to prepare land and ensure the land is clean and clear, because we want to build it for settlements to replace the houses affected," he said.

According to Nusron, settlements for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Lewotobi will be built by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas.

"We prepare the land, the land must be clean and clear," he said.

For information, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid prepared 50 hectares of land for the relocation of victims of the Mount Lewotobi Laki eruption, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The authority of the Ministry of ATR/BPN is to ensure land availability for the relocation of disaster victims.

To speed up the process of dealing with the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki, Nusron will soon re-verify the land that is planned to be used for relocation.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, said that on the 50 hectare land, the government would later establish 1,100 houses for the relocation of victims of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki.

Ara ensured that the construction of a disaster house for people affected by the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki, East Flores, NTT, was close to the residents' work locations.

The points of the house will be determined to cooperate with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), as well as through recommendations from regional heads.
