The Album Bejana Becomes A Wide Creational Canvas For Pringgo As A Solo Artist

JAKARTA - Last September became an important moment for Pringgo, a musician known as a Twentyfirm Night personnel. In the 9th month, he released a solo album that he had designed for a long time.

The album, titled 'Bejana', is a recognition of a story full of meaning and emotion that explores the nuances of human emotions, growth, and transformation.

"All the tracks on this album are a reflection of the incident during the process of working on this album itself," said Pringgo in a written statement received by VOI, November 14.

"So, this album feels personal and very memorable because it's kind of a history of my story," he continued.

Through an album that has been worked on for approximately 1 year, Pringgo's evolution as an artist is felt by the merger of pop influence, alternatives, indiepop, britpop, rock, ballads, as well as inspirations from many legendary world artists such as The Beatles, John Mayer, Phoenix, Ben Folds Five, and others.

Pringgo said, 'Bejana' represents a platform for our emotions and experiences that always change but continue to save space for growth and transformation. That's why through this album, Pringgo hopes that the listener can feel connected through the story he presents on this album.

"Hopefully for listeners, of course, my songs can be pleasing or even related to the reality of each other's listeners," said Pringgo. For myself, I hope that with the release of this album, I can calm my heart and mind because it has been stated into this Cooper", he added.

As a focus track on this album, Pringgo presented 2 songs which were the result of his collaboration with Dochi Sadega on the single 'Pesan' and Pamungkas on the single 'Bittersweet of Rain' which was also one of two English songs on this album.

"Indeed, I asked them to collaborate, because during the process of making in each song, I had imagined that the 2 figures were collaborators who were suitable for the single. Plus, with the two of them, I wanted to give a spontaneous vibe because both of them could make it seem as if I was out of my own comfort zone," he said.

After the release of this Bejana' album, Pringgo still has a dream to be able to collaborate in the future with other domestic musicians or even collaborate with musicians from outside Indonesia. Because, apart from being a musician, Pringgo himself has been involved as a music producer for several Indonesian musicians, one of which is the Indies in the single Kita Ke Sana on the album Besides Life Will End.
