Changpeng Zhao Shows Irony About Bitcoin Claims Are Dead
JAKARTA - A prominent crypto figure who has just been released from iron bars, Changpeng Zhao or who is familiarly known as CZ, recently made an interesting statement denying the notion that 'Bitcoin is dead.'
After returning from custody, CZ is back active on social media platform X, and shared a link to the site Bitcoin is Dead, which tracks skeptical claims about Bitcoin's death.
According to CZ, negative views on Bitcoin are often inaccurate and even repeatedly shown to be wrong by market performance. In a humorous tone, CZ invites his followers to understand this pattern of skepticism, especially when Bitcoin is facing pressure from markets and regulations.
Currently, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at around US$88,628 (around Rp1.37 billion), with a market capitalization of US$1.76 trillion (around Rp27.3 quadrillion). Despite being the world's largest digital asset, this success has not stopped critics from attacking Bitcoin.

Several prominent figures such as economist Peter Schiff, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have stated that Bitcoin is failing as a currency, endangering the US dollar, or even as an 'illution' that could mislead investors.
Even so, Bitcoin continues to prove its durability, scoring significant profits and producing new billionaires among its holders. CZ insists that the claim 'Bitcoin is dead' is actually not new. On the 'Bitcoin is Dead' page managed by BuyBitcoinWorldwide, there were 385 articles that stated the death of Bitcoin.
While another site, 99Bitcoins, notes that Bitcoin has been declared dead' 477 times. However, the reality in the market suggests otherwise. Interestingly, this pessimistic view often appears whenever Bitcoin experiences price drops or faces regulatory pressure, but Bitcoin actually rises and dominates the crypto market.
