Peace, Bugis-Makassar Community Alliance Withdraws Report on Denny Sumargo

JAKARTA - The feud between Denny Sumargo and the South Sulawesi Family Harmony Community (KKSS) finally ended peacefully after being reported by the community to the police.

This was said by Denny Sumargo himself who came directly to the KKSS BPP Office and met with the chairman of KKSS, Muchlis and other members.

"I, Denny Sumargo, today visited the South Sulawesi Family Harmony place. So with the chairman, Mr. Muchlis, with other seniors. We are all brothers," said Denny Sumargo in the Bendungan Hilir area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 12.

"And I really regret that this SARA issue was brought and developed outside and made to create problems. Therefore, I am grateful to the chairman and seniors of KKSS, who are almost one Indonesia, for protecting me, restraining themselves, resolving the problem well," he added.

Denny Sumargo's presence was welcomed by Muchlis and stated that their legal problems were considered resolved.

"So through this momentum, as the general chairman of the DPP KKSS, I consider this issue, the law, between the Makassar and Bugis tribes, we consider it resolved, no one is questioning it anymore," said Muchlis.

Muchlis himself said that his party had withdrawn its report against Denny Sumargo which had been submitted to the Polda Metro Jaya.

"Still waiting. So yesterday I just withdrew my report. The submission from the Criminal Investigation Unit has just come in, so it can't be withdrawn immediately. So the submission is first to the Criminal Investigation Unit, I'm waiting for confirmation," explained Muchlis.

"Submission for withdrawal. So that's the withdrawal of all kinds of administration. But the substance I conveyed earlier, closed," he said.
