Apple Releases AirPods Pro 2 Firmware And Latest AirPods Pro 4
JAKARTA Apple launched a system update for two of its audio devices on November 11. This is the first firmware update since Apple launched iOS 18.1 in a stable version.
The two devices that got these updates were AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 4. Based on a 9to5mac report, this firmware was released with a different fabrication number. AirPods Pro 2 received 7B21 firmware, while AirPods Pro 4 received 7B20 firmware.
When iOS 18.1 was launched at the end of last October, Apple included several new features into its earbuds. This feature is a Hearing Assistance, Hearing Test, and Hearing Protection. All three are designed for the health of their users.
Unfortunately, in the firmware with versions 7B20 and 7B21, Apple has not explained what updates or improvements have been added to its audio devices. The company only explains that these two versions contain, "bug improvements and other improvements."
The bug fix included in the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 4 firmware will hide the user experience. If in previous firmware the user has had some problems, Apple may have fixed it in this latest version.
Firmware with manufacturing numbers 7B20 and 7B21 is rolling out in stages to all AirPods Pro 2 and Pro 4 users. If you want to improve the performance of the device, you can update the software through the app on the connected iPhone.
If this update has rolled out widely, Apple will reveal the various features or improvements they made in version 7B20 and 7B21 firmware. Features and fixes will be released on the AirPods Firmware Update page.
