Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson Says Israel's Smotrich Statement Wants To Control The West Bank
Palestinian Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said right-wing minister Bezalel Smotrich's statement regarding the implementation of Israel's sovereignty in the West Bank confirmed the Israeli government's intention to finalize its plans to control the West Bank by 2025.
In a statement, Abu Rudeineh denounced Smotrich's statement as Israel's confirmation to the rest of the world that a new occupation plan would target the West Bank, which aims to enforce racist annexation and expansion strategies and strengthen the occupation, quoted from WAFA November 12.
"This is against the international community and its resolution, in particular the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on enforcing the decision of the International Court," said a presidential spokesman.
He further called on the Israeli occupation authority to take full responsibility for the impact of dangerous policies that have pushed the region towards total upheaval.
"We also hold the US Government accountable for its ongoing support for the occupation, which allows it to continue to commit crimes, aggression and disobedience to international legitimacy and international law," he added.
Abu Rudeineh also called on countries in the world to force occupied Israeli countries to stop this dangerous act by taking concrete steps against him, such as reevaluating their relations with him and suspending his membership in the United Nations.
Abu Rudeineh stressed that 2025 will mark the realization of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 border, with East Jerusalem as its capital, without peace and stability.
He stated thatMONishism and Smotrich's plans for annexation and expansion will fail and will not win against the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, regardless of the sacrifices that have been made.
Abu Rudeineh affirmed the Palestinian people's steadfast and unshakable commitment to their principles.
As previously reported, Donald Trump's election as president of the 47th United States gave Israel an "important opportunity" to "implement Israel's sovereignty over settlements in Judea and Samaria," said right-wing Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Speech in front of the press ahead of the weekly meeting of the Religious Zionism party in Knesset, Smotrich welcomed Trump's victory over incumbent Joe Biden, whose government according to him "Unfortunately chose to intervene in Israeli democracy and personally did not cooperate with me," quoted from The Times of Israel.
The Republican's first term of office in 2017-2021 had a positive impact on Israel, Smotrich said, citing the relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, recognition of the Golan Heights as territory of Israel and the Trump White House's decision to declare Israeli settlements in the West Bank by international law.

"We are just one step away from the application of sovereignty over settlements in Judea and Samaria, and now is the time to do it," Smotrich said, adding "2025, with the help of God, will be the year of sovereignty inIA and Samaria."
"The only way to get rid of the danger of a Palestinian terrorist state from the agenda is to apply Israel's sovereignty over Jewish settlements throughout JAPAN and Samaria," he continued, calling such action the right response to Hamas, Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed terrorist axes.
