Judicial Review Granted, Advocate Lucas Released From Tangerang Prison
JAKARTA - Advocat Lucas who had been involved in the case hindered the investigation of suspected former Lippo Group official, Eddy Sindoro, is now officially free. This is after the Supreme Court (MA) granted the request for review (PK).
"Currently the convicted have been expelled from Prison Class 1 Tangerang," said Acting KPK spokesman for the Enforcement field, Ali Fikri, in a statement, Friday, April 9.
The acquittal of Lucas took place on Thursday, April 8. The release was followed by the decision of Supreme Court number 78 PK/Pid.Sus/2021 dated April 7.
"In accordance with the provisions of the Law, the prosecutor of the KPK executioner has carried out the verdict of the Judicial Review in question," Ali said.

For information, Lucas was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison by a panel of judges of Corruption Crimes, Central Jakarta.
Lucas is thought to have obstructed the investigation by advising Eddy to revoke his Indonesian passport to be free to be abroad until his case expired, 12 years. Lucas also helped Eddy to pass the check at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Until finally, Lucas was secured which was later determined as a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
