Shooting At University Of Tuskegee Alabama Kills 1 Teenager, 16 Injured
JAKARTA - At least one person was killed and 16 others, including students, were injured in the shooting at Tuskegee University, Alabama, USA, on Sunday, November 10 in the early hours of local time.
The State Investigation Bureau of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the death toll of an 18-year-old young man was not a Tuskegee University student. While the other 12 suffered gunshot wounds, the rest were slightly injured.
"Several other people including Tuskegee University students were injured and are receiving treatment at the East Alabama Medical Center at the Opelika and Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery," read a statement from Tuskegee University, Monday, November 11, quoted from Xinhua.
This incident was not long after the celebration of the Tuskegee University football club's victory over Miles College in a match in Alabama on Saturday night.
According to an ABC News report, authorities suspect the shooter did not only involve one person.
"[Allegedly] there are two shooters at this time, perhaps more," an officer said in a radio call, according to a transmission provided by Broadcastify.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said as of Sunday, November 10 afternoon local time, there had been no arrest of the shooter by the authorities.
