Hero's Day, Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs BG: The Value Of Nationalism Of The Young Generation Must Be Strengthened

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan or BG said strengthening nationalism values is important for the younger generation, one way to do this is by continuing to commemorate Heroes' Day every November 10.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs emphasized that strengthening the value of nationalism is continuous so that future generations do not forget the history of the establishment of Indonesian nations and countries so that in the future they can love the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia more.

"Strengthening the values of nationalism must be strengthened for the younger generation," said Budi Gunawan after attending the 2024 Hero's Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP), Jakarta, Sunday, November 10, was confiscated by Antara.

It is also said that value strengthening can be done from an early age, from elementary to university, as well as in offices.

"There are many ways like the obligation to put up a flag, maybe every day if necessary. Likewise, singing the anthem Indonesia Raya before work, studying, and that is necessary," said the retired general of the National Police.

It was revealed that strengthening the values of nationalism was also carried out in all countries. This is so that the spirit to love the country can be maintained and young people are also proud to be Indonesian citizens (WNI).

"Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto also advised the public to continue to maintain cohesiveness," he said.

Meanwhile, the Hero's Day Commemoration Ceremony at Kalibata TMP was led directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The vice president acted as inspector of ceremonies, leading the commemoration solemnly.

During the ceremony, several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet were seen, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit, head of the institution, and Presidential Special Envoy Prabowo Subianto attended as participants in the ceremony.

The ministers who attended included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai.

After attending the ceremony, Vice President Gibran and the participants sowed flowers at a number of tombs at TMP Kalibata.
