Prilly Latuconsina Becomes Collaborator Of Falls Leaves At Single Tuk Singgah
JAKARTA - The pop-folk duo Daun Jatuh again greeted Indonesian music lovers through a new single entitled 'Tuk Singgah'. In this song, Verrel Alvirizky (vocals) and Timothy Gunung Tua (guitar) involved actress Prilly Latuconsina as collaborators.
Although 'Tuk Singgah' became the first collaboration of Jalan Jatuh with Prilly, it was acknowledged that the 28-year-old actress had known the previous works of Verrel and Timothy.
"So at first, I often posted (Instagram) Stories using the song Daun Jatuh. But I really didn't think about collaboration. I also didn't think I would sing again, because I was focusing on the film," said Prilly Latuconsina at a press conference for the release of a new single in Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Friday, November 8.
After Jalan Jatuh recorded a demonstration 'Tuk Singgah', said Prilly, Warner Music Indonesia contacted him and offered to collaborate. Although initially did not intend to sing again, Prilly finally agreed to the invitation from the label.
"But I also like the song, so I finally agreed to release another song," said Prilly.
"And I don't think there's anything wrong with going back into music, especially if the work is good," he added.
The song Tuk Singgah tells the story of the difficulty of establishing a romantic relationship with the commitment agreed by both parties.
Prilly felt connected to the story of the song, until finally there was no reason to refuse the offer to collaborate with Daun Jatuh.
"Actually, one of the reasons I agreed was because I felt very close to the song. Then I was also asked to have a workshop together, where I could make additional lyrics," said Prilly.
The song 'Tuk Singgah' is a continuation of 'Hopefully There's Still Time' which was released in early August. Jalan Jatuh will still introduce several other songs to welcome the release of their extended play (EP) or their third mini album at the beginning of next year.
"Our plan is to release the EP next year, and this collaborative song with Prilly is included in the EP," Verrell concluded, vocalist of Daun Jatuh.
