Leaving Australia, Citroen Is Wanted And Sales Increase In October 2024
JAKARTA - In August, Citroen decided to leave the Australian market earlier this November. Since then, this French manufacturer has started selling its model lines with massive discounts that make the price more affordable.
Due to a massive discount, this has made sales of this brand jump dramatically in rural countries and exceed what was achieved in the previous month.
Launching from Drive, Friday, November 8, according to data from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) showed Citroen's sales in October 2024 had almost doubled compared to the previous but still touched double digits.
During that period, Citroen managed to obtain 22 sales or represent a surge of up to 83 percent compared to September 2024.
Despite an increase in sales from month to month, Citroen still experienced a decline of 32.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

The automotive brand decided to leave the Australian market and at the same time end its work in the country since 1923. Citroen had stopped bookings on November 1.
The explosion of the brand from Australia was due to its declining sales for several periods. During the first half of 2024, Citroen only sold 87 new cars, down 35 percent compared to last year in the same period.
Meskipun demikian, pihak pabrikan tetap memastikan bahwa layanan purnajual untuk kendaraan akan tetap tersedia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan para pemilik kendaraan Citroen.
Previously, various efforts had been made to increase sales volume, one of which offered discounts of up to USD 30,000 (IDR 312.2 million) for a number of Citroen models. Peugeot also offers significant discounts at the same time.
Citroen has suspended many of its entry-level models in recent years to focus on premium products, such as C3, C4, C5 Aircross, and C5 X.
