Indonesian Basketball National Team Undergoes 4 Trials Before FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualification
JAKARTA The Indonesian Basketball national team is scheduled to undergo four trial matches before playing the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualification continued match.
Johannis Winar's squad is currently preparing for two continued matches of Group A Windows 2 FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualification against South Korea and Thailand.
The agenda has started since Monday, October 28, 2024, at GBK Arena Senayan, Central Jakarta. Before leaving for South Korea on November 17, 2024, the Basketball National Team will also undergo trials to finalize preparations.
"We have planned four trials. Among them are Dewa United, Satria Muda, and Bumi Borneo. This match has a closed status," Johannes said in a statement received.
The development experienced by the Indonesian Basketball National Team has so far been more encouraging after they have been undergoing training for a week. All players can absorb the material well.

Johannis said that he would try to maximize the available time to perfect the team's game before leaving for South Korea. Moreover, all the current players are in top condition.
"In the past one or two weeks, we are trying to get what we want to play as quickly as possible, both offensively and defensively," he said.
After having an away match against South Korea at the Goyang Gymnasium, the Indonesian Basketball National Team is scheduled to host Thailand at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, on November 24, 2024.
Currently, Indonesia is in fourth place in Group A. Garuda troops have only collected two points after losing Thailand and Australia in the first two matches.
Meanwhile, Australia became the leader of the standings after sweeping the first two matches. Then, below them are South Korea and Thailand, each of which has collected three points.
The qualifying round was attended by 24 teams divided into six groups. They compete for 15 tickets for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup finals to appear with hosts Saudi Arabia who automatically qualify.
All of these teams performed this qualification in three windows which took place in February 2024, November 2024, and finally in February 2025.
The top two teams from each group in the second window automatically qualify for the finals. Meanwhile, third place will compete again for the remaining three tickets.
