Swiss Police Have Arrested Dozens Of Drug Dealers In The Verbier Resort Of The Alps
JAKARTA - Swiss police arrested 15 drug dealers operating around the Verbier resort in the Alps as part of the largest raid ever around the Valais region.
Investigations over the months show 15 French nationals have been involved in large drug smuggling into the region.
They are suspected of selling more than 10 kilograms of cocaine and a small amount of contaminants, ecstasy, and marijuana, some of which were confiscated.
"This marks the first in terms of the scaling of arrests and confiscations carried out. The investigation continues and will lead to further arrests," Valais police said in a statement.

Police said drug use was not limited to the Verbier region, and noted cocaine consumption had generally increased across the region.
