MotoGP 2024: Barcelona In Lieu Of Valencia Threatened To Be Canceled
JAKARTA Barcelona, which is on the agenda as a replacement location for the 2024 Valencia MotoGP, is now also threatened with canceling its host after the area was also affected by the flood.
The closing series of the 2024 MotoGP is supposed to take place in Valencia on November 15-17, 2024. However, this series has been officially canceled due to Hurricane Dana which damaged various facilities there.
This situation made Barcelona included in the option to hold the closing series of the most prestigious motorcycle race. However, the latest report states that the Catalunya Circuit was flooded.
Crash reported that floods hit Barcelona on Monday, November 4, 2024. The warning of extreme hazards has also been issued by local authorities so that the MotoGP, which is planned to be held there, can be canceled.

The previous MotoGP at the weekend announced Barcelona to be the closing series. However, the event date has not yet been announced by the organizers.
Currently, only Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia are still competing to win the status of MotoGP world champion. Both are separated 24 points so that the final series will attract a lot of attention.
Martin leads the top of the drivers' standings with a collection of 485 points. So, he only needed 14 additional points to bury Bagnaia's dream of defending champions.
