Din Syamsuddin: Ridwan Kamil Is Right To Lead Jakarta

JAKARTA - Former General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Din Syamsuddin said that the candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta number 1 Ridwan Kamil was the right person to lead Jakarta because of his good provision and track record.

"I think Jakarta needs a visionary leader, has a strong and clear vision. Which direction will Jakarta be directed to," said Din after receiving Ridwan Kamil's visit to his residence in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 4.

Speaking of experience, he said, Ridwan Kamil is a complete figure. The Golkar Party politician was once the Mayor of Bandung, finished leading West Java and has a history of building big cities in the world.

In fact, he has been an expert in urban planning tasked with helping the previous two governors of Jakarta, Sutiyoso and Fauzi Bowo.

"In short, as a resident of Jakarta, as a friend of his who has known him for a long time, gave encouragement, support to Kang Emil with his companion Bang Suswono," he said.

The figure who once led the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) said that he conveyed many messages to Ridwan Kamil.

All have been heard and absorbed by Ridwan Kamil, including his simple outpouring (surhat) as a resident of Jakarta. To Ridwan Kamil, Din told that in the area where he lived he had not yet entered PAM.

Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil ensured that the vent was not only heard by the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) pair, but also will be considered.

He admitted that he was very happy because he received a warm welcome from the great character of Din Syamsuddin. Moreover, the Muhammadiyah figure prayed and firmly gave support to him.

"Hopefully this will strengthen our enthusiasm in the remaining time. In the end, we want to love this country by taking care of the community, with innovations, with relevant things over the next five years," said Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname.

RK admitted that he came to Din Syamsuddin's residence with good intentions, namely asking for prayers and asking for advice.

Din Syamsuddin, according to RK, is a big figure who is not only active in Indonesia, but has also been recognized by the international community.

"Once again I thank you, hopefully through the media, the general public, especially Muhammadiyah, can also be pleased. Moreover, I am a Muhammadiyah graduate whose kindergarten is in Aisyiyah," he said.
