Receiving President's Visit, Jokowi: Hopefully Pak Prabowo Will Be Given Smoothness

JAKARTA - The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) admitted that he was very happy to be visited by President Prabowo Subianto to his residence in Solo, Central Java Province (Central Java), last Sunday night.

This statement was conveyed by Jokowi through a photo caption on the Instagram social media account @jokowi, which displays three frames of photos of his moment of togetherness with President Prabowo Subianto.

"I'm very happy that Mr. President Prabowo Subianto took the time to stop by the residence last night," he said as quoted by Jakarta, Antara, Monday, November 4.

The two of them seemed to be exchanging chats in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere since Prabowo arrived at Jokowi's residence, Jalan Kutai Utara, Sumber Village, Banjarsari District, Solo, at around 18.20 WIB.

Prabowo, who was wearing dark blue patterned clothes that night with dark pants, was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo who were compact in a white shirt and dark pants around the terrace of her house.

In another photo upload, Jokowi and Prabowo are in a restaurant area called Omah Semar. They seemed to be talking privately with Prabowo in one of the private rooms with a special Solo angkringan menu dish such as tempeh mendoan and warm drinks.

"I also invite him to enjoy traditional dishes at a nearby restaurant," wrote the photo caption on the @jokowi account.

Closing his statement on social media accounts, Jokowi hopes that the Prabowo government will always be given smoothness in fulfilling tasks for the nation and state.

"Hopefully Mr. President Prabowo will always be given smoothness and health amidst his enthusiasm in building Indonesia," he said.

Prabowo's visit to Jokowi's private residence was carried out after a working visit to Merauke, Papua, Sunday afternoon.
