Often Delay Breakfast Time? This Is The Impact On The Body
JAKARTA - Breakfast can be an important moment in everyday life because it can provide energy throughout the day while at the same time helping to regulate body function.
However, for one reason or another, maybe we often postpone breakfast time. For example, just have breakfast from 10.00 to 11.00.
A digital creator from India, Dr. Steven Gundry, as reported by The Indian Express website, said that turning back breakfast hours to 10.00-11.00 is apparently beneficial for health.
He said, the benefits can help increase metabolic flexibility and even prolong life.
According to a dietist consultant at Kokilaben Dhiruaki Hospital, Ambani, Pratiksha Kadam, delaying breakfast as part of an intermittent fast can provide specific health benefits.
Delaying breakfast until around 10.00-11.00 can increase fat burning and increase insulin sensitivity by extending the fasting period overnight so that the body can rely on stored energy.
However, Kadam said the ideal breakfast time varies, according to individual schedules, lifestyles, and metabolism.
Agreeing with this, the chief nutritionist at Fortis CG Road Hospital, Bengaluru, Rinki Kumari, said that delaying breakfast for one to two hours may have benefits. Time-limited eating patterns can increase autophage, increase metabolism, and increase fat burning.

He also said delaying eating can reduce overall calorie intake and improve mental clarity.
Although meal times can affect metabolism and hormonal responses, Kumari stressed the importance of nutritional quality because balanced breakfast provides essential vitamins, minerals, and energy.
"Most people break their fast and start rehydrating hours after waking up, with 8-10 a.m. as the optimal time when most people's bodies appear to respond effectively in increasing energy," Kumari said.
People who do intermittent fasting usually have breakfast at 10.00-11.00, which Kumari calls impact on weight management and decreased blood sugar levels.
Kumari also stressed that there is no ideal breakfast time for everyone due to various factors, namely lifestyle and personal preferences.
Some studies suggest breakfast within an hour after waking up, while other studies suggest delaying eating. Listen to your body and experiment to find what's best for you, "said Kumari.
Kadam said that although meal times are important, what's more important is what you eat.
Food consisting of seeds, protein, and fiber rich in nutrients helps regulate blood sugar and maintain a healthy concentration and mood, Kadam added.
