Total of Online Gambling Suspects Involving Communication and Digital (Komdigi) Personnel Increases by Two People
The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police revealed that the number of suspects in the online gambling case involving individuals at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) increased by two people. This addition made the total number of suspects 16 people, consisting of 12 Komdigi employees and four ordinary residents.
"We have arrested two other suspects. So the total number of suspects is now 16 people," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday, November 3.
Kombes Wira explained that the two latest suspects consisted of one Komdigi employee and one ordinary citizen. This arrest was made as part of a thorough investigation into an online gambling case that allegedly involved abuse of authority related to blocking online gambling sites.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, emphasized that his party is fully committed to investigating this case thoroughly. "We will continue to arrest all the perpetrators involved and confiscate all assets resulting from the crime to be returned to the state," explained Ade.
Previously, on Friday, November 1, the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya conducted a search at the Ministry of Communication and Religious Affairs office. The search led by Police Commissioner Wira Satya Triputra and Wadirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Aldi Subartono was carried out on several floors, namely the second, third, and eight floors. In the process, the police presented four suspects, but the full identities of the suspects were not disclosed.
The development of this case has attracted public attention, considering the alleged involvement of government employees in this illegal activity, as well as the Polda Metro Jaya's commitment to taking action against all forms of unlawful violations indiscriminately.
