Dragged By Waves On Kelingking Beach, Bali, Drummer Matta Band Reveals The Cause Of Death Of The Child
JAKARTA - Sad news came from drummer Matta Band, Yadi Bachman or commonly known as Wox. His eldest son, Emperor Akira Ayman, died as a result of being dragged by waves while on vacation to Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali.
Wox revealed the chronology of the death of the Emperor. At that time, the Emperor and nine of his friends participated in EduTour's activities held by his school, SMA IT Insan Sejahtera Sumedang.
On Wednesday, November 30, 2024 in the morning, the Emperor and his friends swam on the beach. Then, there was a big wave current on the beach. Some of the Emperor's friends managed to save themselves. Unfortunately, the Emperor was dragged by the waves and disappeared.
"Anak lagi student tour di Bali masuk ke pantai Nusa Penida, Kelingking Beach, terus sekelompok teman-teman berdia di bawah, anak saya terseret kabuh. Akhirnya ditemukan sudah menjadi masyarahan," kata Wox melalui wawancara via zoom pada Jumat, 1 November 2024.
Wox admitted that he saw the Emperor trying to swim up. However, no one helped, because no one dared to swim to the beach with a big wave current.
"I had a video call (with the Emperor's friend) and I still saw my son trying to get up," Wox said.
After he made the video call, an hour later the Sar Team came by boat to find the Emperor's whereabouts. Wox said the Sar Team was looking for the Emperor's whereabouts for more than two hours, unfortunately not.
Wox immediately left for Bali and arrived on Wednesday night. When he wanted to go to Nusa Penida, Wox admitted that there were no ships for crossing at night. Until finally, Wox had just left from Bali to Kelingking Beach on Thursday, November 31, 2024 at 07.00 am.
"In the morning I just crossed to meet the SAR team. Masya Allah 10 minutes at the top of the stairs, my colleague saw one of the floating bodies, when zoomed in with a camera, it turned out that it was my son's body," said Wox.
