Menpora U-12 Cup 2024 Opened In Surabaya

JAKARTA The Menpora U-12 Indonesian League Cup Tournament officially opened on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Gelora Stadium on November 10, Surabaya, East Java.

The event was attended and opened by Yohan as Expert Staff for Youth and Sports Innovation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

Yohan in his speech emphasized the importance of this tournament as a means of talent development, character formation, and a forum to instill sportsmanship values in the younger generation.

"We hope that this tournament will not only be a competition, but also a place to learn and form strong characters for Indonesian children," he said.

This opening ceremony was attended by hundreds of supporters from various regions. They are enthusiastic about watching Nusantara cultural performances such as traditional dances and various other cultural attractions.

The competition will be attended by a total of 16 best teams from all over Indonesia. The teams participated after passing the tight selection at the regional level.

"Now they are competing at the national level to fight for the title," said Assistant Assistant Assistant to Sports for Education Ferry Hadju.

In addition to the title, the winners will also receive prizes in the form of coaching money which is expected to support the development of their careers in the world of football.

"This prize is given as a form of appreciation and motivation for young players to continue to hone their talents and abilities," added Ferry.

The Menpora U-12 Indonesian League Cup tournament is expected to be an important event in the search for young talents who will become valuable assets for the Indonesian national team in the future.
