A Total Of 93 Rohingya Immigrants Land Again In East Aceh

A total of 93 Rohingya immigrants were found landing on the coast of Meunasah Hasan Village, Madat District, East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province.

Head of the Political, Government and Security Division of the National Unity and Political Agency of East Aceh Regency, Syamsul Bahri, said dozens of Rohingya immigrants were found landing on Thursday at around 04.00 WIB.

"Currently, the team is at the location collecting data on Rohingya immigrants. The temporary data we received were the number of Rohingya immigrants on the coast of Meunasah Hasan Village, Madat District, East Aceh Regency, as many as 93 people," said Syamsul Bahri in East Aceh, Antara, Thursday, October 31.

From the initial report, said Syamsul Bahri, the dozens of Rohingya immigrants were taken off the ship. Next, they swam to the beach of Meunasah Hasan Village.

Regarding the information that several Rohingya immigrants had died in the group, Syamsul Bahri said that his party had not received a report, whether the information was true or not.

The local government through the National Unity and Politics Agency of East Aceh Regency, he said, has continued to coordinate with related parties regarding the handling of the Rohingya ethnic immigrants.

"The handling of follow-up to their existence is waiting for the results of coordination with UNHCR, an international agency that manages cross-border refugees," said Syamsul Bahri.
