Foreign Minister Lavrov Says Russia Will Achieve All Special Operational Goals To Ensure Security
JAKARTA - Russia will achieve all the objectives of special military operations and ensure the safety of its citizens and compatriots, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"All the objectives of special military operations set out by President (Russia Vladimir) Putin will definitely be achieved. The security of Russia, its life, honor, and dignity of our citizens and compatriots, their right to live on their ancestral lands, to speak in their native language, to preserve their history and spiritual and moral values will be ensured reliably," said Foreign Minister Lavrov at the opening of the 8th World Congress of Fellows of Foreign Affairs, quoted from TASS Oct. 31.
Foreign Minister Lavrov also pointed out that over the past three years, since the last congress in October 2021, the situation in the international arena has "not become simpler."
"The collective West, led by the United States, has increased tenfold its efforts to systematically deter Russia, to launch a full-scale hybrid war against our country, to cause so-called strategic defeat to it," the major diplomat noted.
"Washington and its NATO subordinates openly discussed their intention to get rid of Russia. All their efforts will surely fail," he continued.
According to Foreign Minister Lavrov, Russia confidently continues special military operations and will ensure that Ukraine does not turn into a threatening territory under NATO control.
