Invite Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai Tomorrow To The DPR, Commission XIII Will Discuss Additional Budget Of IDR 20 Trillion?

JAKARTA - Commission XIII of the House of Representatives has an agenda for a working meeting with the Ministry of Human Rights and BPIP tomorrow at the DPR building.

This meeting is related to the supervisory function and budget of the Ministry of Human Rights which has been separated from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

"Tomorrow at 13.00, God willing, Pak Natalius Pigai and Pak Mudianto (Head of BPIP), tomorrow we will check what the waves need him. But it's our job for the DPR to supervise as a working partner who sets the budget. We ask about his needs," said the Chairman of Commission XIII DPR, Willy Aditya, Wednesday, October 30.

In addition to the Minister of Human Rights and BPIP, the commission that was just formed by the DPR also invited Komnas HAM and LPSK.

"So tomorrow if the minister, what is their need and their plan, we will just explore it. The main agenda is introduction," he said.

Regarding whether Commission XIII of the DPR will ask about Natalius Pigai's statement regarding the additional budget of his ministry from Rp64 billion to Rp20 trillion, Willy emphasized that his party would not ask sensational questions.

"If our statement responds later like a fire department, we want to see how far the institutional readiness is. Of course, our job is deeper, if we only respond to sensational things, we also see this institution is new, we have to see how structural it is so that it doesn't overlap with Komnas HAM, then we invite them in the morning, then in the afternoon it will be Komnas," explained Willy.
