The South Side Presents Updates Through Bravitar J Album

JAKARTA - The South side metalcore band again greets loud music lovers through a new album titled Bhavitra. The album was released under RIVE, the management who also accommodates Gilga Sahid & Gildcoustic.

The 'Bhavitra' is taken from the Sanskrit language which means 'three worlds'. This title was chosen to describe the South Side experiment which presents collaborations with national musicians of three different genres.

The band fronted by Ronald Hutahaean (vocals), Adi Wibowo (guitar), Harri (guitar), Rizal (bass), and Rinno Orlando (drums) not only presents noisy music, with the hope that listeners can choose which music genre they like.

This is also an affirmation that Southern Side musicality remains contemporary. Keeping idealism with the metalcore genre, the band that was formed in Wonogiri in 2008 doesn't want to turn a blind eye to the current trend of music.

It took six months to work on Bhavitra. That way, the South Side tries to present something new as well as different through several works that reside in it.

"In the process of making this album, we discussed more intensely in terms of the recording production process and making video clips with the RIVE team," said Adi Wibowo in his statement, Wednesday, October 30.

The novelty can be seen from the musical arrangement, Ronald Hutahaean cs quite a lot of electronic elements and some touch of orchestra strings compared to the previous two albums.

In the main single 'You're Not Dead', the South Side also features the vocalist for Revenge, Boniex. They present music that is not too loud but still energetic.

"The lyrics are not far from heartbreak because Boniex itself is indeed a total emo child," said Adi Wibowo.

Even though it sounds different (with previous Southern Side songs), we still firmly do not eliminate the metalcore element in it. And we'll see, you must like it, because this song is very easy listening and the chorus is very easy to stick to the ears," he added.

Through a new album, the South Side wants to convey that they will not stop working and will continue to participate in the music industry in Indonesia.

The album Bhavitra can be enjoyed on various digital streaming platforms (DSP) starting Friday, November 1. The music video "You're Not Dead" can also be watched on the South Side YouTube channel on the same day.
