An ATM Rewarder Caught By The Police While In Action, The Perpetrator Panic Throws A Knife

TANGERANG - Police arrested a man who stole bank customer money using ATM mode. During the arrest, a member of the Pondok Aren Police, Iptu Gunawan, suffered a hand injury as a result of being attacked with a sharp weapon (sajam) type of knife by the perpetrator.

The incident began when Iptu Gunawan suspected that a motorbike was using a fake number plate. On that basis, he checked directly at the Independent Cash Ajungan (ATM) machine in the Larangan Indah area, Tangerang City, Tuesday, October 29.

"When there was a Honda Beat motorbike using the number plate R. I approached BRI ATM, it turned out that there were two people (namely) mothers and men. I suspect why you are? The mother answered that my ATM was careless (trapped inside the machine)," said Gunawan, Tuesday, October 29.

After that, he asked the mother if she was asked about the pin number from her account.

"I suspect why mom? Mother answered my point. Who are you to the guy?' The perpetrator said no. Mother was asked for a pin number? The perpetrator answered, no. The mother replied yes, asked," he said.

Hearing this, Gunawan immediately tried to catch the perpetrator from behind. However, the perpetrator took out a knife until it hit him. Then leave the scene.

"Continued he took out a knife, my hand was injured. I pushed, he fell and ran. Assisted by residents he entered the rented house, was secured by residents together. There were other perpetrators, but managed to escape," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ciledug Police, AKP Suwito, admitted that he could not reveal the identity of the perpetrator.
