Kidnapping And Hostage Victims Undergo Trauma Recovery At Home Safe

JAKARTA - A girl with the initials Z (5) a victim of kidnapping and molestation in the Cakung area, is still undergoing trauma recovery or trauma healing provided by the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the East Jakarta Metro Police and other relevant agencies on Tuesday, October 29.

"The victim is under our supervision. We have coordinated with related parties for the child's mental recovery," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to VOI, Tuesday, October 29.

As a result of the hostage-taking and threats using a knife by the perpetrator against the victim in the post in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta, the victim suffered a wound to his neck.

"The victim had bruises on his neck due to a knife," he said.

Investigators from the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim are also investigating the knife used by the perpetrator to take the victim hostage. The police are investigating where the perpetrator got the knife.

"We investigated the knife because at the time of the arrest, the perpetrator pointed a knife at the child," he said.

In addition, the motorbike used by the perpetrators to kidnap and carry the victim is also still being searched by members of the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"The perpetrator with the initials IJ is still being investigated. We have not found the perpetrator's motorbike," he said
