Jobstreet By SEEK Report: GenAI Adoption Among Significant Growth Workers

JAKARTA - The 2024 Global Talent Decoding Report: GenAI Edition from Jobstreet by Seek reveals that GenAI's adoption among workers in Indonesia shows promising positive growth.

"Our latest survey found that the biggest benefit for professional workers in Indonesia is its ability to help workers' effectiveness in their daily lives," said Sawitri, Country Head of Marketing, Jobstreet by SEEK on Tuesday, October 29.

This report reveals that 88 percent of Indonesian workers have heard about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 38 percent of them claim to have used AI into their monthly work routines.

In line with this global trend, workers in Indonesia use AI for studies and research (41 percent), doing creative tasks such as writing (41 percent) and 37 percent for administrative tasks.

Not only for work, Indonesian workers also use many of GenAI for personal interests, such as for skill development (48 percent), obtaining general knowledge (46 percent), and translating languages (36 percent).

This Jobstreet by SEEK report also sees the three main personas shown by Indonesian workers in the use of generative AI in their profession.

Persona pertama, 18 persen pekerja di bidang teknologi informatika (TI) menggunakan GenAI sebagai rekan untuk memberikan sedikit masukan, namun tetap melakukan sebagian besar pekerjaan sendiri.

Second, 7 percent of workers in the marketing and media sector, make themselves the GenAI Expert' who will conduct a review of the results of GenAI and make the necessary changes.

Then the third, 7 percent of workers in the administrative and secretariat sectors become GenAI Taskmaster', where they use AI to do recurring work, to save time.
