Reporting from Wikipedia, in the last legislative election, Ita Triwibawati, who was under the NasDem Party flag, was one of the candidates from the East Java VIII electoral district.
Ita competes with a number of names, including Muhammad Habibur Rochman from the same party and a number of candidates from other parties such as the PDI-P.
In October 2014, Ita Triwibawati, who at that time was the wife of Nganjuk Regent Taufiqurrarahman, was inaugurated as Regional Secretary of Jombang Regency.
Previously, Ita had gone through a feasibility test process and was declared eligible to occupy the position. The inauguration was officially carried out by Regent Nyono Suharli at the Jombang Regency Hall.
On December 5, 2016, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted an in-depth examination of Ita Triwibawati in the office of the Regional Secretary of Jombang Regency.
However, based on the results of the examination, it was shown that there was no evidence of his involvement in the alleged corruption case involving her husband, Nganjuk Regent Taufiqurrarman.
The KPK examined Ita because it was related to allegations of corrupt practices in the recruitment process, promotion, transfer, and management of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Nganjuk Regency Government.
However, even though he was in the spotlight, the KPK stated that there was not enough evidence to associate Ita Triwibawati with the crime.
In this case, the KPK has named at least five other suspects suspected of being involved in giving bribes to the Nganjuk Regent related to corrupt practices in ASN management in 2017.
In this regional head election, the candidate pairs for Nganjuk Regent and Deputy Regent, Ita Triwibawati and Zuli Rantawati, were promoted by the Golkar Party.
Both offer a new vision for Nganjuk, with promises to bring significant changes through a variety of innovative programs oriented towards improving people's welfare.
Based on the report of the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) on the KPK's official website, Ita Triwibawati appeared as a candidate for Nganjuk regent with the most total assets among other contestants in the Nganjuk Pilkada.
