Britain Imposes Sanctions On 3 Russian Bodies Spreading Disinformation Disinformation In Ukraine

JAKARTA - Britain has imposed sanctions on three Russian institutions and three senior figures at the institution who are considered to be trying to use disinformation to weaken and destabilize Ukraine and its democracy.

The UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Social Design Agency (SDA) and its partner company Structure are trying to carry out a series of interference operations designed to weaken international support for Ukraine. The third company mentioned is public relations firm ANO DIALOG.

"Today's sanctions are sending a clear message, we will not tolerate your lies and interference, and we will pursue you," British Foreign Minister David Lemmy said in a statement.

Britain also said the SDA tried to inciting protests in some European countries this year and was considering buying social media influences. These sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans.

The US, which has warned Moscow's efforts to spread disinformation and instability in democratic countries, also imposed sanctions on the two companies in March.
