Small Childnders At Pasar Minggu Pospol, Arrested After Receiving Car Requests

JAKARTA Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police (Jaksel) explained that the process of negotiating police officers with perpetrators of child hostage-taking at the Pasar Minggu Pospol only lasted 15 minutes. The perpetrator with the initials IJ (54) can be conquered by members of the TNI after officers provide the car according to his request.

Serda Wahyu Babinsa 03/Pasar Minggu Kodim 0504/Jakarta Selatan menjelaskan, pada saat negosiasi IJ meminta air minum dan mobil.

But unfortunately it is not known whether the car was asked by the perpetrator to be owned or used to escape.

"I had asked for a drink, then the perpetrator also asked for a car to be provided," said Serda Wahyu.

Furthermore, at that time there was a sedan belonging to members of the TNI that passed at the scene. Then, Wahyu coordinated to comply with the perpetrator's request.

"Then again persuaded the perpetrator to enter the car that had been prepared, after being in the car. Serda Wahyu again negotiated with the perpetrator," he said.

"When the perpetrator was careless, the officers immediately took the knife from the perpetrator, while Serda Wahyu took the child who was being held hostage," he continued.

The perpetrator was arrested and taken to the South Jakarta Metro Police.
