Public Prosecutor Rejects Exception At Supriyani's First Trial Accused Of Hitting Police Child

Southeast Sulawesi - The public prosecutor (JPU) rejected the exception of Supriyani's legal adviser, an honorary teacher at SDN 4 Baito, South Konawe Regency (Konsel), Central Sulawesi (Sultra) who was accused of hitting his student with the initials D (8).

"Basically, we rejected what legal counsel requested regarding some that were no longer related to the subject matter of the case," said the Public Prosecutor who is also the Head of the South Konsel District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Ujang Sutisna in a follow-up hearing on the alleged abuse case at the Andoolo District Court, Monday, October 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said there were several points from the exception that were rejected because it was deemed not to comply in Article 156 of the Criminal Code and the points had been read out in court.

"There are several points, indeed legal counsel, I only mention certain points that do not comply with Article 156 in the Criminal Code, that's all," he said.

Ujang also conveyed that what was approved between the prosecutor and the defendant's legal adviser was to continue the trial to the subject matter of the case.

He regretted the actions of the legal adviser who asked for an exception at the first trial, which then at the time of the exception reading session, they also asked to continue the trial to the main stage of the matter of the case.

"In conclusion, what legal advisor is currently asking to be continued to the main case, why not yesterday," he said.

Meanwhile, Supriyani's teacher's legal adviser, Andre Darmawan, said that formally the case was clear that this violated the juvenile justice system law because there were many procedures that were not carried out.

"For example, the report asks social workers to provide assistance, then the social guidance is also not carried out," said Andre.

He also revealed that in this case there was also a violation of the code of ethics, one of which was a conflict of interest because investigators and reporters in the case were the same office colleagues, namely the Baito Sector Police (Polsek).

"Then there was also coercion against Mrs. Supriyani to confess, even though Mrs. Supriyani never did, there was also a request for money of Rp. 50 million. So, it was all a violation of the procedure," he said.

Andre explained that at the trial, his party asked the panel of judges to reject their objections so that the trial could proceed to the point of the case.

"This is strange, we ask for objections, but we ask the panel to refuse. Because if for example our exception is accepted, the trial will not proceed to the main case," he explained.

He also added that he continued the trial to the point of the case to prove that Supriyani was innocent and had been criminalized.

"We want these individuals, yes these individuals who have made Mrs. Supriyani a suspect, have detained Mrs. Supriyani, must be held accountable, either administratively, for example there are ethical sanctions or anything, including criminal sanctions," he added.
