The three suspects arrested were AF residents of Bogor, then state civil servants (ASN) residents of Bandung Regency, and AS residents of West Bandung.

Meanwhile, two are included in the list of DPO initials H and S who are recidivists in theft cases with weight.

"Two DPOs have fled outside Java, three of which we have secured," said Garut Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Fajar Gemilang during a press conference to reveal the gas station robbery case in Garut, Monday, October 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the robbery took place in the early hours of Wednesday, October 16, with the modus operandi of three people from the gang of robbers coming with head coverings to the Jalan Pembangunan gas station, Tarogong Kidul District.

They pointed a gun and a sharp machete to a security guard named Eutik Jaka who was guarding the gas station alone at that time. The perpetrator then tied the hands and legs of the security guard.

"The suspects entered the office of the Construction gas station through the window and dismantled the safe containing money," said the Police Chief.

He conveyed that the robbers then fled to the Bandung area using a four-wheeled vehicle with deposits belonging to the gas station amounting to Rp191 million.

The security guard, who was previously held captive, was found by residents and then reported the incident to the Garut Police, then coordinated with the West Java Regional Police to conduct an investigation to uncover the robbery case.

Based on the results of the investigation of the crime scene and the statements of a number of witnesses and evidence of CCTV footage, they finally managed to find the whereabouts of the perpetrators and were arrested in the Bandung area, Thursday, October 24.

"We managed to arrest three perpetrators in the Bandung area, and two people are still being chased," he said.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, said the Police Chief, his party also secured the evidence used by the perpetrators, namely sharp weapons of the type of machete, then safes, crowbars, and other tools, while the money from the theft had been distributed and used by the perpetrators.

"For the money that has been distributed, some have been used to pay off debts and others," said the Police Chief.
