MG ES5 Will Be Sold In China At A Price Of IDR 200 Million
JAKARTA - Not long ago, Morris Garage (MG) released the ES5 model which is rumored to be replacing the position of ZS EV globally. Now, British brands will open a pre-ordering period for the SUV in China on November 2.

The MG ES5 is 4,476 mm long, 1,849 mm wide, 1,621 mm high, and the wheelbase reaches 2,730 mm.
Talking about design, the car minimizes the use of the front grip by adopting sharp lights and pinching as well as showing an elegant, dynamic, and futuristic impression.
Other design elements include conventional door handles, blacked outer rear mirrors, silver roof trunk racks, and Y-shaped through-type lights. Complementing its appearance, this compact SUV has two rim options, namely 17 inches and 18 inches.
It adopts designs like other MG models with a minimal, smooth, and comfortable display. The cockpit adopts a screen layout in the center that is separated from the instrument panel and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The central console adopts a hollow design to provide additional storage space at the bottom, equipped with two cup holders, and supports wireless charging for phones. Panoramic sunset is also presented to this model thus adding elements of luxury in it.

The SUV has a level 2+ ADAS MG Pilot system supported by the Journey 3 Horizon Robotics chip. The Front View Camera Module (FVCM) feature has a visibility of up to 250 meters and a rear radar detection of 180 meters.
This includes various other functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Parking Assistance.
Built on the Nebula platform developed by SAIC, the MG ES5 is powered by a rear electric motor with a maximum power of up to 168 dk and a peak torque of 250 Nm. Thus, this can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds and the highest speed up to 170 km/hour.
The British manufacturer also carries a lithium-iron phosphate battery measuring 49.1 kWh and 62.2 kWh supplied from the CATL-SAIC joint venture. According to MG, this is a battery with a thinning thickness in the world of up to 110 mm.
With these batteries, the MG ES5 has a wide range of range ranging from 425 km, 515 km, and 525 km according to the CLTC cycle.
