North Korea Salahkan Militer Korea Selatan Atas Intrusi Pesawat Nirawak

State media KCNA reported on Monday that North Korea's Ministry of Defense blamed the South Korean military for sending drones to its territory for political purposes, calling it a violation of state sovereignty.

The ministry announced the final results of its investigation after claiming South Korean drones flew over Pyongyang at least three times this month to distribute anti-North Korean leaflets.

KCNA has also published photos of which it describes as South Korean military unmanned aircraft that crashed, reported by Reuters, October 28.

During the analysis of the drone flight control program, North Korean authorities said they had found more than 230 flight plans and flight records since June 2023, including plans to deploy "political motivational waste."

A record on October 8 showed the drone had left South Korea's border island, Baengnyeongdo, late at night and spread leaflets over the overseas and defense ministry building in Pyongyang hours later.

Seoul's Ministry of Defense did not immediately comment, but said Pyongyang's unilateral claims "not worthy of verification or response."

A North Korean spokesman warned the country would respond with a "unfortunate attack" if such a case was repeated, KCNA said.

It is known that tensions between the two Koreas have heated up again since North Korea began flying balloons that brought trash to South Korea in late May, prompting South Korea to restart propaganda broadcasts via loudspeakers.

Separately, Seoul and Washington said North Korea had sent 3,000 troops to Russia for possible deployments in Ukraine, which could mean significant escalation in their conflict.

Meanwhile, Pyongyang said on Friday, every step to send its troops to support Russia would be in line with international law.
