Suswono Will Continue Contract Farming With Other Areas That Were Run By The Anies Era

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta explained each other's vision and mission in the second debate of the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta number 1, Suswono admitted that he would continue the DKI Provincial Government program that had been running in the previous leadership.

One of them is the cooperation in food production or contract farming between the DKI Provincial Government and farmers in other areas. The contract farming was previously carried out by Anies Baswedan.

"The steps that will be taken are the first to conduct a cooperation contract with food supplying or producing areas," said Suswono at the Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, North Jakarta, Sunday, October 27.

Suswono said, 98 percent of Jakarta's food has been supplied from outside Jakarta. So, according to him, Jakarta's food security is very vulnerable. Therefore, in addition to contract farming, the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair will also mobilize urban farming in the remaining unused land in Jakarta.

"Utilizing abandoned land to be used as a movement for the realization of urban farming or urban agriculture," he explained.

Continuing, Ridwan Kamil also promised to open 1 million jobs consisting of 600 thousand in the formal sector, 300 thousand in the MSME sector, and 100 thousand in the labor-intensive sector.

"For big economies, global cities, we present growth centers in a business. Then for MSMEs, for the middle class, we present a digital academy for 100,000 Gen Z, then free co-working space, housing above the market, above the station we also present it," said RK.
