Facing Australia, The Coach Asks The U-17 Indonesian National Team Not To Play In A Hurry

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team coach, Nova Arianto, gave a advice to his team ahead of facing the Australian U-17 national team in the final match of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification group phase. The coach asked his team to play in a hurry.

The meeting with Australia at the Mishref Stadium, Kuwait on Sunday, October 27 at 21.30 WIB will be a decisive match for the U-17 national team to secure tickets to the main round of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup. The team that wins this match will win the group and qualify automatically.

Currently, both Australia and the U-17 national team are both collecting 6 points. However, Australia is ahead of the goal difference so it has the right to be at the top of the Group G standings.

To deal with Australia, Nova Arianto hopes that his team will not make many mistakes. Mathew Baker et al have a tendency to rush when making a transition and that should not happen.

"Our shortcomings are still the same, especially when we win the ball and make a transition, players are still in a hurry," Nova Arianto said in his statement.

The coach revealed the message because he reflected on the previous match against the North Mariana Islands. Despite winning 10-0, the Garuda Asia squad players are said to be less calm so finishing many opportunities is wasted.

Nova Arianto has emphasized that victory is a fixed price against Australia. The 44-year-old coach is clearly eyeing 3 points to immediately lock up the ticket to the main round of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup.

In preparation for Australia's opponents, Nova backed up several reserve players during the second match of Group G such as Mathew Baker. Then Fabio Azkairawan, Nazriel Alfaro, Muhammad Al Gazani, and Mierza Firjatullah played from the bench.

The victory over Kep Mariana Utara is expected to spark Zahaby Gholy et al's enthusiasm so that they can perform optimally in a crucial match against Australia.
