Rotation Becomes An Important Capital For Indonesia U-17 To Face Australia U-17

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team won a big victory against the North U-17 Mariana Islands in the second match of Group G of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.

Nova Arianto's team won 10-0 in the match which was held at the Abdullah Alkhalifa Alsabah Stadium, Mishref, Kuwait, Friday, October 25, 2024.

In the party, Nova did a number of rotations for several pillar players. The strategy was carried out so that the players could fit into important and final matches for the group against Australia U-17.

"I see they perform optimally even though there are several opportunities that should have been goals, but they were not achieved," he said.

Furthermore, Indonesia U-17 is targeting a victory against Australia to become the winner of Group G and qualify directly for the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup finals.

A number of preparations were also made to realize this target. Nova began to fix the shortcomings, such as the struggle for the ball and the transition of the game.

According to him, there is still a tendency for players to rush when making a transition.

"Our focus is on the last game against Australia. We want to win that game."

"Our shortcomings are still the same, especially when winning the ball and making a transition, players are still in a hurry. Including in the match against the North Mariana Islands, in the final settlement there were many opportunities that did not result in goals," he said again.

So far, Indonesia U-17 is still in second place in Group G standings with six points, the same as Australia's one at the top.

In the best runner-up standings, Indonesia U-17 is still not safe. Garuda Muda is in sixth place.

As is known, each group winner qualified directly for the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia along with the five best runners-up.
