Indonesian Women's National Team Coach: Losing To The Netherlands Is A Securities Lesson

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's National Team lost 0-15 to the Dutch national team on FIFA Matchday at De Vijverberg Stadium, Saturday, October 26, 2024, early morning WIB.

The head coach of the Indonesian Women's National Team, Satoru Mochizuki, said the match against the Dutch national team was a valuable experience for his team.

Even though he had to accept a crushing defeat, Satoru assessed that the players had worked hard to provide resistance.

The significant difference in FIFA rankings and the quality of Dutch players made the goal rain inevitable.

"We are very grateful to have the opportunity to be able to fight a strong team like the Netherlands. However, it is very unfortunate that we conceded a lot in that match," said Satoru after the match as reported by the PSSI website.

The Dutch national team is currently in 11th position in FIFA rankings and has a number of star players defending big European clubs.

Some of them are Esme Brugts who now play for Barcelona and Vivianne Miedema and Danielle van de Donk, who are known to have qualified individual qualities.

Even so, Satoru ensured that his team remained in a positive spirit to continue to grow.

He will also evaluate and motivate players to correct various shortcomings.

"Players have struggled and worked hard until the game ended. They didn't give up and kept fighting."

"I think it's good for the development of our team. Hopefully we will be even better in the future," said the Japanese coach.
